The Howard School Sport Partnership

Welcome to the Howard School Sport Partnership which is a collection of schools (in Rainham, Gillingham, Strood and the rural area of Medway - Kent) working together in families to share resources, facilities, teaching and coaching expertise and an infrastructure of staff.

The ultimate vision is that:

"The Howard School Sports Partnership (covering all schools in Gillingham, Rainham, Strood and the rural area of Medway) commits to provide an efficient, high quality and school needs led service, we will continue to enable young people to become the best they can be through the medium of physical activity, physical education and sport."




IMPORTANT GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ALL PRIMARY SCHOOLS

Currently in Summer 2018, we have 30 primary schools in the HSSP area currently buying into our school sport services for 2018-2019 academic year. For further details on the menu of packages and services available to Primary Schools, delivered by our School Sport Co-ordinators (SSCo’s released from their secondary P.E. Dept.) As well as these services we can accommodate bespoke school sport packages after discussions with individual Primary Schools. We also help to co-ordinate a CPD programme of Primary P.E. courses and train Primary staff to deliver Change4Life Clubs and organise a calendar of Medway and HSSP Primary School Sport Festivals/Competitions in the local area, for further details see Medway and HSSP Primary incl dance Competition calendar 2018-2019 DRAFT. Your Primary/Secondary/Special School achievements for the academic year of 2018-2019 can be submitted through an online application window 8th May – 9th August 2019.

And your school teacher needs to register (and then be approved by myself) at the following website: www.yourschoolgames.com

HSSP Active Health Conference Thursday 4th July 2019 at the Howard School Table Tennis Centre

The morning session is open to any HSSP Primary teacher wishing to attend Active 30/other Health related subjects and the School Games Award workshops and the afternoon session is open to primary schools to bring a team of 8 Active Health Ambassadors (yrs 4 and 5) to receive training and campaign ideas on how to make your Primary School more physically active and eat well.
